I have excellent medical benefits. I pull at least three weeks of vacation a hear.

Quit and be a waitress or teach English? There does seem to be a sense of growing pains and seeing greener pastures at times. The baby boomers had their mid-life crises and us Gen-X’ers don’t want to repeat those mistakes, so we tend to question life longer and search harder for what makes us happy. We are doing it in our personal relationships – getting married later in life and if not our career choices changing our company locations change frequently.

I often wonder what it would be like to quit my job, to step out and take the risk of entering a new field that has nothing to do with computers at all. Teaching, ministry, counseling…..I find it disconcerting to be approaching 30 and wondering what I want to do when I grow up. You are certainly not alone! I’m also a night owl :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16776970989229587452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17276748.post-1149866329477157502006-06-09T10:18:00.000-05:002006-06-09T10:18:00.000-05:00I feel you, Allyson...I am struggling with exactly...I feel you, Allyson...I am struggling with exactly the same thing. I am about to go on vacation for a week and I am already dreading the fact that it is going to end after only a week. I don't want to come back and get on the hamster wheel and start running nonstop again. I feel like if I keep doing this, I am going to run myself into the ground. I am starting to think that intellectual challenge and passion are great but only in MODERATION.Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07712571084981694176noreply@blogger.com
