She finally realized that she could easily make it on her own and that he probably cared more about him than Vice-Versa but she did want him to know how she realized how he had meant so much to him. She has actually told that story numerous times. Waggoner is also still alive and was a GREAT in his own right but his career was "winding down" as hers was going straight up. Houston did the song proud and kept it original. DR. I.E. John Michael MOntgomery's "I can love you like that". Boyz 2 Men butchered that song! There are plenty of other good country songs that were ruined by Pop singers. For the record, Tim's version of "Stars Go Blue" is actually pretty good... and I really have no problem with Rascal Flatts version of "Life is a Highway". Perhaps you should give their other music a shot, try "Fast Cars and Freedom"...
