I Wonder....

why I struggle to focus so much of the time yet was able to read The Associate (John Grisham's newest book) Wednesday night. Regardless I'm so glad that I finally read an entire book! Only my second completed book of this year.

how it is that until today I had never known the deliciousness that is a warm white chocolate raspberry scone. And how this same bakery also sold me a dry, hard chocolate chip cookie that was seriously lacking in chocolate chips.

what I'll be doing this time next year.

if I will go on a date this year.

if I'll ever get around to writing a post about sacrifice. It's been on my mind a lot this week, but I've not been feeling very blog-a-rific...or focused.

I wonder what you're wondering.

how I missed World Nutella Day. I plan to celebrate late by creating some delicious baked good containing the yummy Nutella. I was pretty enamored with Nutella during my travels in Greece--mainly in the form of white chocolate & Nutella crepes.

if this economic "stimulus" package is just a bad joke.

if God will ever get e-mail. Seriously sometimes it'd be nice to just get clear answers on what I should do.

what my youngest niece will be like in ten years (she's five now).

if most people's "I wonder" list would be as self-centered as mine.

p.s. I'm grateful that I don't have to wonder about really serious things like where my next meal will come from, how I'll provide for my family, or my health. Silly lists and thoughts like these remind me of how incredibly blessed I am.

I wonder...

...if I'll ever find a genuine, nice guy who wants to settle down and have a family (some day).

...when I'll get my own classroom.

...why some people are incredibly rude and inconsiderate.

...why I'm not living on a tropical island where the sun shines 365 days a year and my front (and back) yard consists of crystal clear ocean water and soft sand.

I like the idea of God getting e-mail. It's selfish of me, but I think maybe I'd be more into communicating if he did.

I used to eat nutella and bread and oranges when i lived in Spain. That was literally what I lived off of a lot of the time. For some reason I think it tastes better there. :)
And if you don't go on a date this year then there is something wrong with men. Actually I have suspected for a while now that there is something wrong with men, espeically Christian men...it's like they second guess themselves too much or something. But luckily God still works even in our weaknesses.
Have a great week!!!

I wonder if...
God had e-mail what font He would use and would He use LOL, BRB, BTW and TTYL ?

I wonder if there will ever be FAT FREE donuts that taste just as yummy .... AND

and it's NO wonder nobody reads my lame posts based on this lame comment !

I like the idea of God and e-mail too! Yes, it certainly would be nice to have quick answers to life's tough problems.

Oh, how you wish the "stimulus" package was a joke.

Remember our "Does God use Gmail" experiment? :)

Anon: Agreed.

WTG: God would definitely NOT use all of those lame terms. And if he texted he wouldn't then either. As for the fat free yummy doughnuts, I'm voting no. Or if there are, they will probably contain things that will give us migraines, cause cancer, etc.

Kimberly: I agree with you about men...and specifically Christian men since that's what most of my friends date. It's frustrating, but indeed it gives God a lot of room for miracles :)

TC: Ha! Seriously. I wonder if we'd really ask Him that many questions for fear we wouldn't like the answer--and then we'd be deliberately/obviously disobeying Him.

BEG: Excellent list! The last one is a very good question...wish I were there right now.

mmm...Nutella crepes.

Right now I wonder when I'll finally move forward past several crappy things that have happened this winter. I know the saying "God never gives you more than you can handle" but...wow.

I wonder...
...what my dog does all day while I'm at work.
...if I'll go on a date this year.
...if my 'secret admirer' is real or a joke.
...if my kids will pass the test.
...if my upstairs neighbor is Michael Flatly, Lord of the Dance.
...if we'll get any snow this year.

And yes, all of our "I Wonders" are self-centered. And that's okay.

I've been wondering about my niece lately. She's 10. I wonder what she will be like at 15. Hopefully not like me. Funny how we worry about the little ones and they never even know it.

Chocolate chip cookies with not many choc chips? That's just WRONG!!!

I wondered where you'd gone - I missed your blog posts.

Silly lists are good for making you realise how blessed you are, aren't they? But just cos they're not serious doesn't mean they're not true and not worthy of being heard :)

Didn't know about the scone...where?

Mamacita: It's a place called The Perfect Cup, but it's in Dalton....but I'm going to try to figure out how to make them, so I'll give you the recipe if I figure it out.

Ys: You're right! They are.

FC&F: It's so fun to watch someone grow up...time flies too.

Jennifer: Maybe you'll Secret Admirer will ask you on a date, and we'll know the answer to two of your queries.

Pam: Aw, I am sorry it's a rough season right now--glad you're trusting the Lord to equip you.

Absolutely, I see you're a hot chick, no dating problems for ya!

My hunch is God's messaging system has been down for a while or messages are being blocked by Darth Vader? :)

As a pvt. contractor myself, stimulus package is not going to help me in anyway. I'm ok with it, if it slightly increases my taxes but also help someone who made an honest mistake. However I will not approve raising taxes to spend money on killing millions or give bonuses to CEOs

I wonder..

Why do they call it a Shortbread cookie, when clearly the size is same as any normal cookie?

Great post! I wonder if I'll go on a date this year too. Also, I wonder how I missed World Nutella Day too. HELLO, I love Nutella. It's heaven in a jar.

Ally said...

Ok Chick: Seriously! I've found a few recipes containing Nutella to try out in belated celebration.

PE: Kids are the worst for that sort of thing....

CC: Good question!

You may have missed World Nutella Day - but today is national pancake day. Don't miss out on that one. (o;

I could so relate to the date one. And the PS. Anytime I start feeling sorry for myself or griping about something, I inevitably wind up feeling silly for complaining.

I wonder...

where we'll be living as of this summer.

how God is able to hear all of our prayers at once.

how the octuplets mom has time to do TV interviews with fourteen children at home.

why watching snow melt feels so depressing.

when we'll have another baby.

how long it will take me to finish my masters degree.

how healthcare reform will impact my husband's career.

and the list goes on, and on...!

I like this post, AJ.
