Smile Like the Sunrise

  • I just deleted a few catty comments about The Hills. It's just too easy, and the real issue is why I watch it if I feel the way I do.

  • Is anyone else as excited as I am about Thanksgiving? Does a holiday get any better than the celebration of gratitude and food? I've already had two Thanksgiving meals this month plus my friends are having a pre-Thanksgiving meal on the Tuesday before and then two meals on Thanksgiving day....it's a lot of eating, but someone has to do it:) What does your Thanksgiving menu have to include? My non-negotiables are turkey, dressing, bread, and sweet potato casserole (with lots of crunchy brown sugar/pecan topping).

  • I love shopping online especially since I get free shipping at Old Navy, Gap, and Banana, but this vanity and/or mis-sizing has got to stop. I'm 5'6, weigh 130 pounds, am medium-boned, and am not flat-chested. I should not need an extra-small. I never know what to order anymore because sizes keep on getting bigger and bigger. Three of the four things I received from J.Crew today are too big (and I ordered a small). Ridiculous. Of course, given the preceding bullet that may change in the coming week:) But seriously what are my 5'2 small boned friends suppose to wear? Kids clothing? Are they going to come out with negative sizing next?

  • Finally I can listen to melancholy songs on repeat for days and days and not get sad. This has seriously increased the quality of my listening, and I've not busted out City High in at least 5 days.

p.s. I'm grateful for opportunities to try new things....today it was a cardio-sculpt class, my first Motion to Compel hearing, a rice-fennel dish, sweet potato bars (with cake mix, white chocolate, and oats), and some $2 earrings from Charlotte Russe.

I think I may try to make homemade dressing for Thanksgiving this year. I've got too much to be thankful for to not celebrate.

I can't order online...just too risky due to the size of my booty.

Finally; A woman with a logical opinion on the continual resizing of women's clothing. Personally, I think it's because retail workers are having a hard time trying to tell women, "Sorry sweetheart, but you are NOT going to fit into a size 2." :P

Ahh Thanksgiving. I do love the thanksgiving. Unfortunately it appears I'll be on a diet this Thanksgiving. I'm finally going to a nutritionist to help me lose some weight and something tells the my ususal holiday treats will be off-limits.

I love Thanksgiving - there's nothing like huge quantities of food and family...

Thanksgiving is not Thanksgiving without mashed potatoes and gravy. A must!

I totally understand with your clothes sizing issue. You just about can't order anything online anymore b/c the sizes are so random! I hate knowing with Old Navy I may wear an 8 but with the Loft on a good day I need a 6.

My G-ma's dressing is a must-have! It's to die for!!!

-So, I don't have cable TV anymore. But, I so still watch The Hills online. I'm addicted even though Audrina gets on my last nerves and I want to hit Spencer with my car. I keep going back for more.
- I am SO excited about Thanksgiving . Like you, I am having more than one. Except the last Thanksgiving I'm having we'll be having fajitas. NOthing says THanksgiving like hot peppers and beans with some beef! My mashed potatoes rock the usual Thanksgiving menu though.
- I SO just ordered some clothes from Old Navy online. And was both annoyed and thrilled that everything I ordered was too big. I sent it all back and got smaller sizes. Which really just made me feel better about myself. (o:
-I have been listening to Christmas music. I just thought I'd say that since I commented on all of your other points.

Okay, the end. (o:

I am not a Thanksgiving girl myself, but I do love me some apple pie.

I don't shop online anymore because I'm a different size in every store. It's futile.

I agree with the melancholy songs. I find I get into a grove where I listen to certain songs even within the same CD over and over...

Jennifer: Fajitas make total sense to me! I sort of wish one of my meals was like that.

Scotty: I'm glad you appreciate my artwork from last Thanksgiving:)

I can't go from one store to another wearing the same size. Drives me crazy.

I had lunch with Paisley today and ate the school Thanksgiving lunch...it's a must for me to have one school cafeteria Thanksgiving meal (it's the only good meal of the year!)
